We head to Miami Florida, for the final game between the Marlins and Chicago Cubs. The Marlins won the first two matchups 3-2 and 7-6. The Cubs will hand the ball to Justin Steele to try and get Chicago in the win column and avoid a sweep.
Steele is 4-0 on the season with a 1.19 era. Steele has pitched into the sixth inning in five out of six starts, and has only given up more than one run once. Bryan Hoeing gets the ball for Miami making his second start in the majors. In his debut, Hoeing was tagged for four runs in 3.2 innings.
Steele should be able to dominate this weak Marlins offense, as they rank 20th in the majors in on base percentage and 28th in RBIs. The Cubs should come out with some urgency to try and leave Miami with a win. If they get to Hoeing early this will turn into a bullpen game for the Marlins.
-165 is too much juice for my liking, so we’ll aim to get our money early.
Official Pick: Cubs F5 -.5 -110 BetMGM
