CLEVELAND – Today, Monday April 3rd, 2023, starts the week of one of the biggest weeks in professional golf. ITS MASTERS WEEK! But this year it is a little different… with the new LIV tour kicking off this year, we have two professional golf tours playing at Augusta National. Which sparks conversation. The PGA has banned all players who went to play on the LIV tour from their events, BUT that does not include the 4 major events on the PGA schedule, which includes the Master’s tournament, which as long as you qualify you will be able to participate if you so choose to.

The tournament is going to include some big names from the PGA Tour and the LIV Tour. From the LIV, former Masters champions Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, and Charl Schwartzel. There is also the big names that stayed with the PGA Tour, such as Zach Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Rory Mcilroy, Vijay Singh, Jordan Spieth, and Tiger Woods are all participating in the Master’s Tournament.

There is a huge field in the Master’s Tournament, and no one has ever won back to back Master’s Championships. The favorites to win the tournament are Scottie Scheffler (+650), Rory McIlroy (+750), Jon Rahm (+800). The biggest favorite from the LIV tour is Dustin Johnson (+2800).

If I were to place a bet on this, I would hammer Dustin Johnson, does not seem like the LIV Tour players are getting much love in this first major tournament.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
