We head to Oakland Coliseum for the rubber match between the Los Angeles Angels and the Oakland Athletics. Even with a 10 strikeout performance Thursday night from Shohei Ohtani, the Angels fell 2-1 to the Athletics. Los Angels bounced back in a major way in game two, scoring 13 runs cruising to a 13-1 victory.

Tyler Anderson takes the mound this afternoon for the Halos, making his Angels debut. Last season with the Dodgers, Anderson posted a 15-5 record with a 2.57 ERA. For the A’s, Ken Waldichuk gets the ball supporting a 2-2 record with a 4.93 ERA.

Waldichuk had a rough spring training, allowing four home runs across 13 innings. Due to injured A’s starters Paul Blackburn and Drew Rucinski, Waldichuk gets the start for Oakland. While I’m not expecting another 13 run outing, the Angels bats should be able to get to Waldichuk early.

Currently the money line for this matchup has the Angels at -155. While the full game wager is the safer bet, I personally never take anything over -130, -140 max! Long term taking wagers with too much juice will deplete your bankroll. We’ll go for more value and look to get our money before the final out.

Official Pick: LAA F5 -.5 (-115)

(For new bettors this means the Angels need to be winning by the end of the fifth inning)

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
