Current NFL prospect, Jalen Carter, has an arrest warrant out for him stemming from the January 15th automobile accident, in which a University of Georgia recruiting staffer and a teammate of Carter’s on the Georgia Bulldogs team passed away.

The arrest warrant issued by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department states that, Carter engaged in reckless driving and street racing.

The driver of the 2021 Ford Expedition vehicle that crashed, Chandler LeCroy (recruiting staffer) died along with UGA offensive lineman Devin Willock, in what was initially thought of as a one car crash due to excessive speed.

LeCroy did have a blood alcohol level of .197 and that was also a factor in the crash as determined by investigators.

Carter, who was driving a 2021 Jeep Trackhawk, is said to have been engaging LeCroy in street racing in which both vehicles switched lanes, drove down the center of the turn lane, and even drove opposite of oncoming traffic.

As far as Jalen Carter’s future, it’s unknown but he was highly regarded as a top prospect in this upcoming NFL Draft, with some speculating he could go number one overall.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said, “the charges announced today are deeply concerning.” Carter was supposed to speak at the NFL Combine at 10:30am today but did not.
