Since the NBA All-Star Break, the Cleveland Cavaliers, have been in two interesting ballgames. Coming out of the break, the Cavs faced the Denver Nuggets, and fell to Denver, 115-109.

Evan Mobley might have turned a corner, as seen in Thursday’s game, or he might have shown flashes of his potential future. The Cavaliers though have seen plenty of signs of struggle as well though.

Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell attempted to make a comeback similar to the one they made in Philadelphia, against the 76ers, but didn’t quite have the same result, especially when Evan Mobley was left open majority of the time.

The Cavaliers in this current season, compared to the 2021-2022 season, has changed drastically. The Cavs before the acquisition of Mitchell, used to play more pick and roll basketball, and less iso. Since Mitchell has became a member of the Cavs, Cleveland has fallen back in love with plenty of iso basketball, whether or not Darius Garland, or Mitchell has the ball.

On Friday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers struggled in the first half against the Atlanta Hawks, and lost 136-119. The Hawks shot around 60% from the floor by the time the first half ended, as well as, dropping 81 points by half (49 points in the second quarter).

What has been the problem with the Cavs this current season?

Has it been the factor that J.B Bickerstaff has shown flaws with his head coaching? The fact that the Cavaliers head coach is days away from March , and seems to not have a smooth rotation, seems to be a problem. Where were the sharp shooters for the Cavaliers at?

Will no move being made at the NBA Trade Deadline bite the team? Obviously, nobody knows who would have been the returning pieces but you could assume that Kevin Love and Caris Levert were options.

March is right around and if I am a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers…I might start panicking if you want to win, or even make an appearance in the NBA Finals.
