Interesting news came out on Friday, that former Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, reportedly wanted Pete Carroll , along with Seattle’s General Manager, John Schneider, fired and out of Seattle.
A few days later after Wilson requested this , roughly in February of 2022, he was considered for trade consideration, and shortly shipped out of Seattle , to the Denver Broncos.
Unfortunately, Russell Wilson, continued this behavior while in Denver as well, at least presumably until Sean Payton takes over this upcoming season.
The Broncos need to make obvious changes to the organization following the antics of Wilson in the 2022 season. There has to be an obvious reason that the Seahawks, led by Geno Smith, were more successful this past season the Broncos were. That reason looks to have came out on Friday and allow football fans to have a better understanding of why two teams performed the way that they did in 2022.
Russ issued a statement on Twitter regarding this news too. That tweet can be seen below.
Wilson also hasn’t seemed like he was the best teammate in Denver, and hopefully with Sean Payton as head coach, the Broncos can move forward and possibly see more success.
