1. The 2016 World Series vs. the Cubs – the two teams with the longest World Series win droughts met in a classic, Fall Classic. Cleveland took a 3-1 lead and was poised to have another parade like the Cavs did earlier that summer. The Cubs tied the series and the teams played an epic game 7 in Cleveland. Chicago was up 6-1 but the Indians clawed back and when Raji Davis hit a game tying 2-run homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning Cleveland’s title hopes were back on. Unfortunetly mother nature decided to kill the momentum with a rain delay and the Cubs bats got hot ending the dream of a World Series title in Cleveland. This heartbreak is number one because of the dramatic twists and turns and also because Cleveland has lost two World Series (1997, 2016) that have gone to extra innings in game 7.

The one thing about heartbreak is you can’t experience it unless you have love. I along with many other Cleveland sports lovers have that love and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you would like to give your top 5 as well, feel free, it’s therapeutic (not really) and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
