Playoff success in the NFL for star running backs is difficult to predict for several reasons. Football is truly a team sport, and the most consistent teams that win, usually are sound in all three phases. A running back can be great, but that usually isn’t enough to guarantee that their team will have sustained playoff success. I personally hope, that when Nick Chubb’s career is over he will have many great wins in the postseason.

The Cleveland Browns, have a star in running back Nick Chubb. In his first five seasons in the NFL, Chubb has 1,210 carries for 6,341 yards and has 990 yards receiving yards on 119 receptions. Chubb has scored a total of 52 touchdowns throughout his career thus far.

With all of his talent, the Browns, have only made the playoffs in one of his five seasons, in addition , Chubb has played in two playoff games. Those two games are one more than the legendary OJ Simpson, got to play in, and two more than Bears Hall Of Famer, Gale Sayers. The one win that Chubb has in his postseason career, matches the playoff win total that Lions great, Barry Sanders had.

Nick Chubb has been the one consistent factor on offense, throughout the turbulent times of Hue Jackson, Freddie Kitchens, and Kevin Stefanski. Chubb embodies what it means to be a professional , he shows up, shutting up, and making the big plays when called upon. The Browns running back deserves to be on the biggest stage and showcasing his elite talent. Nick Chubb deserves perennial playoff success, success that some of his fellow legendary running backs, never achieved.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
