Good news Cavs fans, the puzzle piece that is the small forward position has been solved. Maybe. Possibly. Ehh check back with me in May. But for the past three games, Isaac Okoro is that guy?!

The most difficult thing in claiming Okoro as a success at the 3, is that Isaac has everything going against him. Okoro is undersized in every way possible, compared to literally every opponent. 6’6” looked better in the 90’s as everyone had a 6’9” small forward who gets points in today’s game. As a former top 5 pick, Okoro would have to play Bruce Bowen level defense for everyone to truly be satisfied.

Okoro has steadily improved his shooting percentage over the first three years of his career. Great. But he’s only shooting 50% and averages 20 minutes per game. He is ranked 48th of 60 in PER (Player Efficency Rating). Sometimes, Washington Generals wannabe Cedi Osman, ranks 37th. As for trade options Cam Reddish, Reggie Bullock and Tim Hardaway Jr. , all rank as less efficient than Okoro.

The Cavaliers, more than likely, don’t have a starting caliber player at the Small Forward position. If Cedi Osman had NBA Jam flames coming off him more consistently, or if Caris LeVert fundamentally changed his game, to include passing instead of throwing up bricks, this whole thought process would be a whole lot easier.

But for now, the Cleveland Cavaliers have to put their best option at the small forward position. And currently it is Isaac Okoro.

Maybe Cavs fans can all hope Koby gets Bojan Bogdanovic before the deadline🤞🏻🤞🏻

Would you feel comfortable with Okoro staying at the 3? Or would you rather have the Cavs make a move? Let us know on Twitter @WeLikeSportzPC .
