CLEVELAND – With great sadness, we report that long time Cleveland Guardians/Indians number one fan has passed away.

When you attend a Cleveland Indians or now a Guardians game, it’s going to be hard to not listen for the bass drum beating in the left field bleachers. Today, it was confirmed that long time Cleveland baseball fan, John Adams, has passed away.

John Adams has been beating the bass drum since 1973, starting at the age of 21. John only missed 45 home games, in the 50 years of giving the Tribe that extra boost when needed, or he was cheering them on while Cleveland played in the World Series.

John will truly be missed by all Cleveland baseball fans, and fans around the MLB.

Rest In Peace John, you will be missed.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
