Today marks the 42nd AFC Championship Game, where two teams will play for a chance to head to the Super Bowl.
This year, will be a repeat of last year, where the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Arrowhead Stadium, to play the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals came out on top last year winning 27-24 obtaining their third AFC championship in franchise history. The Chiefs, however, have made five consecutive AFC Championship Games, winning two.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback , Joe Burrow, is 3-0 against the Chiefs in his career. You can never count out Patrick Mahomes though, the Chiefs quarterback led the league in passing yards this season.
Two of the most elite quarterbacks in the NFL, going head to head once again, is going to make a great watch. Plenty of Bengals fans, and players, have started calling the Chiefs stadium Burrowhead, because of Burrow’s success against the Chiefs, so far.
This matchup has all the makings of a rivalry game, mainly due to the fact after the Bengals beat the Bills last week, Mike Hilton stared into the camera and said “Burrowhead”.
While the Chiefs are favorited, I wouldn’t count out the Bengals. Cincinnati is on one of the hottest streaks in the NFL, winning their previous eleven games. The Chiefs, however, are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles, for the best record in the NFL, at 14-3.
I’m sure we are in for an instant classic tonight, as these two team never fail to disappoint fans across the nation.
