The saying in sports and anything in life tends to be, “Never Say Never”. If a football player like Tom Brady, can announce his retirement and then come out of retirement within the same off-season, so can anyone else, right?
Cole Hamels, last made a pitching appearance in the MLB back in 2020, with the Atlanta Braves, and reportedly was seen throwing for teams in Texas on Friday.
Hamels, more than likely, has the mindset that he wants to finish his baseball career on his own terms, and not because of a throwing injury preventing him to do so. The former Braves pitcher, has played throughout 15 seasons in the MLB and is looking to achieve at least one more successful season.
Throughout his career, Hamels, held a record of 163-122, with an ERA of 3.43, he pitched 17 complete games (7 shutouts) throughout 2698.0 innings pitched, and struck out 2,560 batters.
Hamels spent time with the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and is now looking to either make a return or find a new home to finish his career.
What MLB team do you think will sign the former four time all-star? Will Hamels have the ability to finish his career under his own power? Let us know what you think on Twitter @WeLikeSportzPC .
