The Cleveland Browns have been an extreme disappointment since their return in 1999. With the rise of social media, Twitter in particular, the team’s lousy performances have empowered most fans to head to Twitter. While on Twitter fans are voicing their frustration with the majority directed towards each others opinions.
During the early years of the returning franchise, from roughly 1999 until 2008 specifically, the Browns were bad similar to now but there was no such thing as Twitter, or at least not as popular.
I tend to wonder how the Tim Couch and Kelly Holcomb drama would had played out.
Personally, I’m glad it didn’t since the whole Baker Bros and Watson Warriors fiascos has proven to be anything but civil.
The meaning of “Fan” is short for fanatic but the amount of fighting that happens between passionate fans of the Cleveland Browns is absurd.
Usually, I love draft season but instead of politely disagreeing regarding potential draft picks, the conversation becomes personal between fans and their IQ’s start getting questioned.
In fairness to the fighting fans, they all seem to be more intelligent than what has come out of Berea for quite a while.
I always say the next time someone changes someone else’s mind on Twitter will be the first. No truer statement can be uttered when evaluating the interactions on Browns Twitter.
Will the 2023 season be the first season Browns fans aren’t lashing out at each other??
