On Saturday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Milwaukee Bucks at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The Bucks were without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, and the Cavs were once again without Donovan Mitchell.
Heading into Saturdays matchup with the Bucks, the Cavaliers, were hoping for a different result following Friday night’s loss to the Warriors.
Due to the injury of Mitchell, the Cavaliers, have had to find different ways to compete without their leading scoring at times this season.
Depending on the night different players have had to step up, whether or not it’s Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, or like on Saturday night, Evan Mobley.
The Cavaliers defeated the Bucks, 114-102, which improved Cleveland’s record to 29-19, meanwhile Milwaukee fell to 29-17 on the season following their loss.
Second year Power Forward, Evan Mobley, led the Cavs in scoring with 38 points, which was a new career-high. Mobley shot 19-27 from the field and was 0-2 from beyond the arc. Mobley also managed to grab 9 rebounds, along with 3 assists in the game.
Outside of Mobley’s performance, the Cavs had 21 points and 10 assists from Darius Garland.
Saturday was also the return of Dean Wade for Cleveland. Wade played in his first game since December 2 2022 , where Wade sustained a shoulder injury against the Orlando Magic.
Tuesday Night, Cleveland travels to New York to take on the seventh seeded Knicks, tip-off scheduled for 7:30 EST.
