Just days before Christmas arrives…the Atlanta Hawks get the opposite of a Christmas present, some would say.
The Atlanta Hawks drafted stud point guard, Trae Young out of Oklahoma in the 2018 NBA draft. Since the 2018 NBA season the Hawks have improved immensely season by season with Trae Young and a couple other key additions as well.
During this past offseason the Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs came to an agreement in which the Spurs sent Dejounte Murray to the Hawks for multiple future first round draft picks and Danilo Gallinari. Since the Hawks showed signs of going “all-in” on a NBA Championship with the move of Murray the circumstances that come with multiple superstars on a specific team, comes with it as well now.
Trae Young according to senior NBA insider for TNT, Chris Haynes , “rival executives are of the belief that the Hawks guard Trae Young could be the next star to request a trade if the team doesn’t make inroads come playoff time.”
The Atlanta Hawks currently sit at .500 and are currently seeded as the 9th seed if the NBA Playoffs were to begin today.
Will Trae Young and Dejounte Murray learn how to play together or does Young have other ideas and other destinations on his mind? Time will only tell.
